Sky Tower
In the holiday I went to the city to go to the Sky Tower. I got the full tower experience. The full tower experience is you go to the Sky deck which is when you go to the largest deck in the Sky Tower, the main observation room, and the sky city cafe . I had a lot of fun.
My first 5 weeks at school.
Week 1
In week 1 I settled in well to room13 and had a awesome week. I also had 2 of my best friends C.M.B and A.P.And we also did some water balloon preparing and we did the fun in week 2.
Week 2
In week 2 we also did the water balloon fun but in week 1 we did the preparing. The water balloon fun was in week 2. We had to measure the distance of water balloons,

First 5 Weeks of the Year
Week 1
Week one for me was crazy! The year 5's weren't super mature on the first week... Now i know what i was like on week one last year. We didn't do any work which made me incredibly happy! I ran the assembly with my fellow house leaders.
Week 2
I ran the assembly with my fellow house leaders. The year 5's matured a little and they were fun to be around.We also did water balloon methods... FOR MATHS. It was mathematical because we measured stuff.
Week 3
Week three was like test time for me. I was under so much stress with all the tormenting tests but i guess they had to happen. Everyone was caring and nice it was already like we were family. Cross grouping also began in this stressful time. We ran the Assembly as a class in week three. I enjoyed it!
Week 4
The year 5's were off to camp! When their bus left all the year 6's screamed "FREEDOM!!!" Now I feel bad for saying that but at that moment I felt happy.
Week 5
In Week 5 the senior school swimming sports took place. I stink at swimming so I didn't win anything. I was pumped with adrenalin before the race though.

Week 1 - In the first week of super school we got to know our amazing class. It was a bit strange because the year 5's were a bit shy and quiet. Also we did a measuring task with wet water balloons,bats and sling shots. But it was only 5 days of school because Waitangi Day.
Week 2 - Week 2 was boring! but a bit better than week 1 because the year 5's was a bit more confident to speak to us.
Week 3 - Week 3 was AWESOME! we had to do the assembly, and do art, play games go swimming, it was awesome!
Week 4 - Week 4 was even better because year 5's went on camp we had the class to our self.
Week 5 - Week 5 was a hot week but just in time the school swimming sports came. first we ho inter school try outs and after lunch the whole senior syndicate had fun games.

THE FIRST FIVE WEEKS OF SCHOOL
Was very weird firstly week 1 was short because we had Waitangi day in the middle of the week. Then there was a new student K.K who I became friends with very quickly. Then we had to run assembly in week 3 (with very short notice).I was running the power point 2 other people. Then the year 5 went on camp during week 4. (Their camp was much better than ours was. But our year 6 camp will be
better.(I hope) then we had math cross grouping after that and before we did that we got water balloons and launched the to see how far they would go for math. Well thats our first five weeks it was really eventful.
Astonshing New Class
On the first day of school I was feeling dead nervous. I was sorting were to sit and I saw a seat next to L.C I sat there. But the good thing was it was it was a short week because it was Whaitangi . In week 2 I was settling down but some people acted a bit weird. But I figured out why like some people were cat lovers and acted like them. The year six were smart, But had a very strong character. So it felt pretty hard to keep up I mean it and I was trying my hardest to keep up real. In week 3 I was feeling confident about doing the assembly I went shopping with my mum to get my James bond costume. Our theme was favourite movie character or nerd!.We got told in the middle of the week that were hosting it so we were running a round crazy. But it turned out awesome!!! Week 4 it was year 5 camp I'm a year 5 I was so excited. In camp we did lots of fantastic stuff like kayaking,water confidence course, horse riding , rope swing and flying fox .
My First two Weeks at BDS
WEEK 2 It was a scary thing that happend I walked into the class and everybody was looking at me then my new teacher she was lovely she had short black hair amazing shoes I gota say I loved them and an cool chilled out clothing then the teacher told C.C.H to show me around the school I had no clue were every thing was. WEEK 2 I finily got the hang of things wull not really then the teacher said that it was swimming I was so happy. Here I am in the cold water thinking that I can swim but I cannot.

THE FIRST 5 WEEKS The first week was where everybody got to meet each other then there was a new girl that joined our class and her name was k.k she was a really lovely girl she was a bit shy. any way i enjoyed the rest of the week with all my friends i couldn't believe i was a year 6 also the assembly we listened to some songs which were FEEL INSIDE AND STUFF LIKE THAT i thought that the song was cool i loved spending time with my teacher MRS Fernande's she is a wonderful teacher you will enjoy her

Choir
On Wednesday 20th of March I went to choir. On the bus the boy's where so chatty I felt like screaming at them.When we got there we found our seats and started to sing.We sang for 6 whole hours it was so tyring.When we got back from choir we had lunch, for lunch I had a muffin and a wrap and I saw my friend S.H
On wacky Wednesday it was the super swimming carnival, well, in my opinion it wasn't super or wacky but hey that's just mine. Well on with the radiant recount. It was a hot summers that swimmers would love and since I was a swimmer I loved it. The steaming sun was overwhelming and it made me anxious to get in the cold, wet pool. When my name got called for my freaky freestyle race my brain screamed "NO!". I made my way to the pools edge and very carefully stepped into the pool. The water was freezing like pluto, rufused to put my head under. The soaking swimmers from the race before me made their way out. My heart was racing and I was counting every beat. I heard Mr. K Blow the whistle then he said "ON YOUR MARKS...GET SET...GO!" I was swimming my heart out, thumping my feet against the icy water, feeling the runny water run through my solid hands then suddenly I heard a voice "PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN!" It screamed as soon as I put my head down i knew it was...
our cricket game
Yesterday we had a cricket game against M.H.P.S I was the last bowler. When the team got on the field we practised till the other team showed up. It was a home game. It was really fun. but there were a lot of soccer balls kicked onto the field some of them were kicked by C.J sadly I didn't get any wickets but the batting went well I didn't get out. In the end we got 71 runs the other team got ....................47 runs which meant we won.

MY ROBOT STORY
Hi my name is C.H.O and im 25 years old and i have got brown hair with blonde strieks.And hazel eyes aswell. Nice to meet you my job is to help to create as much inventions as i can. One day i mixed some potoins together and then .... BOOM! BOOM! there was a tall 44cm robot. I called him "custom teez " he had blue eyes like a crystal falling out of the sky. He has got a yellow body like bumble bee on tranformers. And his head is exactly like M.H robot but fatter. I brought him back to my place and polished him up i was wondering what he ate then he jumped up and down saying "ro ro" "ro ro''! he pointed at my chocolate . Any way he calls it chocororo. I gave him some of it he took it out of my hand and ate it all I gave him some juice but he spat it out. He ran over to the petrol filler and drank all of it. I put a dog leash on him and took him for a walk. jeepers he was fast . any way there was a couple of droppings on the concerte. we finally got back to the inventions area and he had a nap then ... all of a sudden

school life
Hi I'm A.Y I think school is going really well I mostly enjoy every day .I love all the subjects especially reading.I have lots of good friends especially P.H we both like playing chess.we most of the time we have good team work but sometimes we don't because we some times argue but we are very good friends that help each other.Any ways coming back to subjects I'm, actually starting to like writing .And I don't need to brag but I think that i,m better at writing
On Wednesday there was a swimming carnival. There was water splashing every where.Every one was put in there house groups and people drew pictures if they weren't swimming.The water looked like diamonds because of the sun.The people who swam looked like leopards when they swam.I was drawing pics of random things like saw,stick men,chucky and things you would find in a class room.Then morning tea came.After morning tea we got in house groups.Their was 8 year olds,9 and10 it was the same with all yhe houses.I went and sat on the green grassy grass with all the other super silly seniors.The water looked warm because it was super sunny.

It was another boring old Sunday and we were heading over to my house for an amazing sleepover party, When we all arived there we started to play who can drink the most fizzy drink the fastest. Year 6 camp
Year 6 camp recently finished. I really enjoyed camp and what I enjoyed most was kayaking and archery. Killer hill was threatening and the fitness run was SUPER AWESOME. The dorms were really nice and so were the people in them. Erin and Peter are the managers of the camp. They are really friendly and no wonder they like kids! The chefs name was Selwin and he makes a mean beef curry! We got fresh bread every morning,afternoon and night. Doing my skit was quite freaky but it ended out sweet at the end.

Year 6 Camp
I woke up at six twenty in the mourning. I got dressed, ate and left for school. When i arrived I found my class and walked around and talked to my Friends. After a couple minutes we got on to a bus which was a long trip and a tree fell down so that did not help... At all. We loaded our things on to the boat and left for kawau island. We arrived and unpacked and learnt all the rules. then we went to our bunkers and sorted everything out. I was stuck with S.D E.F and J.B. Then we went on a nature trail. after that we ate did skit practice and then diary writing. the next day we did a fitness trail and then we had breakfast. We not long later did activity's and I did bivouac building(a small house,tent to keep you shelter built out of logs) first. Then I had mourning tea. My next activity was sailing. Then we had lunch and did the confidence course. Later I went swimming. On Wednesday We went to another island where went went on a long long walk and we went to a copper mine.after that we went to a mansion and we went through it. On Thursday I did kayaking and archery.At the end of the day we did skits and it was hilarious. Now it is Friday and we are packing to go back to botany. we load everything whitch takes half an hour and then we load ourselves. when we get back to the main land we unpack the boat and repack the bus.when we get to botany downs primary we claim our things and reunite with our Friends and family.
weekend suprise
In the weekend on the Sunday me and my family might be going to Disney on Ice at Vector arena.We will only go if we work hard on doing our jobs.We need to work hard because we are going in 4 days time.
I hope we do gobecause this is the first suprise/fun thing this year, including the 2 school holidays.

ART WITH MRS GREENE
When Mrs F was away to do some work we had Mrs Greene. I was super exited when I heard that we were going to do art the whole day.We first looked at some pic of some really amazing art. The artist was called Romero Brito. We looked at so much pics. Mrs Greene asked us questions. Then we had to start our art ( YAY). First we had to draw some flowers and a vase. Then we had to colour it and draw pattens. Then we had to dye it.

Camp
We started of with loading our luggage onto the bus to get sands pit while the all the kids started onto the bus it was loud as after an hour my ears were hurting we got of and started loading the luggage again on the ferry to kawau island then we hopped on. after an other loud hour we got there everyone was amazed but i was not that much because i have already been anyway we started sorting out rooms everyone was happy with them.the next day (Tuesday) w started doing the activities first for group 3 was bivouac. bivouac is when you get big and small branches and also silver ferns we had we had to make it strong enough to spill water on it with out getting wet there was two teams girls vs boys it was pretty easy to guess who won it was the girls yay.on Wednesday we set of to mansion house when we got there we got into random groups and started walking inside it was like museum no yelling no touching it was creepy because there were pictures staring at us and the ground was making noises.we got out of the house and went back to kawau island on thursday.
Marae trip
Last Monday our class room and room 20 went on a trip to a Marae next to edge water college. When we arrived we did a Waiata and made our way to the kitchen to have some kai which was cookies and juice. After we had our kai we got seperated between two activities. Our classroom's first activity was personal kowhai whai designs that reflected our family, and our second was in the main room. We admired and drew some of the carvings and the tukutuku designs/patterns. when we left we said a prayer and got wished a safe trip home. I was sad to leave

This week we are working on our mission impossible.I and my partner B.A.M has made a hovercraft we call it the half and half. We call it that because half is mine and half is hers.To go in to our work room we we have a special lift to get us in to our work room .Our work room has mission control our work room is were we study the planets around us and longitude and latitude.In the front has a large touch screen.The middle has a swing so we can sit while we are working .Our room matches our personality B.M has a red room because she wants to be an actress.I have a blue bed room to match my favorite character.To get inside we scan our id cards.
Year 5 camp
At camp 2013 year 5, my favorite activities were kayaking, horse riding, sleeping, flying fox and the glowworm walk. It was horrendously fun because I tried new things that I haven't done before. I felt so scared that I would have not done the activities, but I believed that I could do it and it turned out it was not scary at all. After I felt sooo proud. Also we slept in bivouacs, the bivouacs were made out of planks with mattress and we had to bring sleeping bags because they had no sheets.It was on top of a hill and all our luggage rolled down the hill when we put it under our beds, were the luggage was kept.

Hi i'm S.D i'm doing an mission impossible task at school. We have to make a ship its really cool, well i made mine and this is mine:

On Friday I went to Paihia for the weekend. I left at 2:00 and I arrived at 5:00 and I went fishing and I went on the ferry to Russel. When I went fishing I caught kaiwhai and yellow tail.

Year 6's
Year sixes
We have had the best time in Botany Downs Primary School since year zero to year six. And we are sad to say that we are leaving this year we loved all the teacher and Principal but Mrs Fernandes stands out the most. She has helped us out through so many things and tough decision she is always there for us and she never backs down and we love her to bits.We hope to stay in touch with yo u.We all promise to come see you while we are at intermediate.And we hope you grow bigger than us we love you best teacher in the whole universe!

The little monster S.H
The little monster
One gloomy wet and damp day I was working in my workshop trying out an experiment for the whole world. I thought to myself there is know way this could fail this time. [all the others failed]
Hello my name is Sophie I am 9 yrs of age, I am as genital as a kitten and I will never give anything up. My favorite thing to do is swimming because I am a very active person that will try any sport apart from rugby or any thing like that.
I was making a monster that had 2 eyes, 4 arms on each side and he was an amazing student/ friend to be with for you or for me to hang out with. He also cared for people and had an outstanding sense of hummer. his name was going to be Squiggles.
BOOM! my little pot of green slime had come alive. I was so surprised I nearly burst into my soft plump chair. The monster had become a real live green monster standing exactly face to face in front of me. I was more happier than anyone in the whole world because my plan had worked.
Now my little green eyed monster would do nearly anything for me but one day I was at the shops we were buying some groceries then one moment he was there and then one minute later he wasn't there at all because he was probably interested in something and he wanted to get it so he decided to walk over to that thing. I've never found him ever since that day.
One day I saw something on the news it looked like my little monster that I had made. It said the monstrous monsters name on the bottom I screamed. His name was Squiggles. I was so happy to see my little Squiggles again.Plus he was all in great shape too.
The next day I went to go fetch him at the SPCA I was so happy to see him and he was so happy to see me. Then we all lived together in the cottage beside the city sky-tower, it was such an incredible site.

I have a great friend. His initials are LB. He goes to this school. He is a great and loyal friend. He loves dinosaurs and helps people when he can. He try's to be nice to everyone even if they do'nt want to do the same. He is friend I could never hope to have.
He always smiles at me and we do lots and lots of things together, such as the wearable art. We are making a costume for the two of us. I am lucky to have such a great friend.
my mum
My Mum is special to me because she cares for me and when I am sick she makes me laugh by dancing and singing even though she is not good at it.She makes me laugh and she makes me cry. She is the best mum in the whole world .
Maungamaungaroa walk
On Monday 26th August 2013, we went on the tiring hour each way Mangemangeroa walk.
We started at an old rusty barn with only one portaloo there.
We went through the lush bush , beside the dirty swamp , up/down steep slopes and over damp bridges.
During the walk one of the parents slipped over and a Westpack helicopter came to the rescue.
The accident was on the news.
